The bunker barge “Smit Lipuma” was built in Durban for Smit Amandla Marine. The vessel provides services in the Durban Harbour as part of the SAM fleet. Raubicon undertook the detail design, integration planning, classification approvals, and in-progress inspections of this new build designed by Triton Naval Architects of Cape Town. As part of a conversion program, SAM subsequently undertook the double-hulling of the Smit Energy. Raubicon provided integration planning and lighting designs for the Smit Energy. The conversion was designed by Triton Naval Architects of Cape Town. The classification society is BV.
